Brian Kevin Fitzpatrick is a U.S. Representative serving Pennsylvania's 1st congressional district, which encompasses all of Bucks County and a portion of Montgomery County north of Philadelphia. He has held this seat since January 2017, when the district was designated the 8th district; it was renumbered the 1st district in 2019. Before entering elected office, Fitzpatrick worked as an attorney and served as an FBI agent. In Congress, Fitzpatrick has sponsored legislation across a range of policy areas. He sponsored the Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2023 (HR.715), which addresses firearm transfer procedures.
