U.S. Representative for Oregon
Cliff Bentz represents Oregon's 2nd congressional district, a seat he has held since January 2021. A lawyer by training, Bentz previously served in both chambers of the Oregon state legislature, representing the 60th district in the Oregon House of Representatives and the 30th district in the Oregon Senate. Following the departure of Lori Chavez-DeRemer in 2025, Bentz is the sole Republican in Oregon's congressional delegation and the only man serving in the U.S. House from Oregon after the retirement of Earl Blumenauer. In the 118th Congress, Bentz sponsored the Klamath Basin Water Agreement Support Act of 2024 (H.R.7938), which was enacted into law, and introduced amendments that were agreed to by voice vote (HAMDT.1126, HAMDT.554). He also sponsored the Oregon Owyhee Wilderness and Community Protection Act (H.R.6777) and the Safe Social Media Act (H.R.6290), both of which were referred to committee.
