Who they are, where they came from
Dan Sullivan serves as the junior United States Senator from Alaska, a seat he has held since January 2015. A member of the Republican Party, Sullivan is also a Marine Corps veteran and attorney. Before entering the Senate, he served as Alaska Attorney General from 2009 to 2010 and as Commissioner of the Alaska Department of Natural Resources from 2010 to 2013. In the Senate, Sullivan sits on committees with jurisdiction over armed services and foreign affairs matters, areas reflected in his legislative record.
