Who they are, where they came from

Dave McCormick serves as the junior United States Senator from Pennsylvania, having taken office on January 3, 2025. He is a member of the Republican Party representing the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the 119th Congress. Before entering elective office, McCormick built a career spanning military service, government, and finance. He served as an Army officer, then later worked in the private sector, eventually rising to serve as Chief Executive Officer of Bridgewater Associates, one of the world's largest hedge funds, from 2020 to 2022. In the 119th Congress, McCormick introduced Amendment SA 3376, which was agreed to in the Senate by voice vote (SAMDT.3376).
