Deborah K. Ross represents North Carolina's 2nd congressional district, based in Raleigh, and has held that seat since January 3, 2021. A lawyer by training, she is a member of the Democratic Party. Before her congressional service, Ross served in the North Carolina House of Representatives from 2003 to 2013, representing the 38th and then 34th House districts, covering much of northern Raleigh and surrounding suburbs in Wake County.
