Diana Lynn Harshbarger is a pharmacist, businesswoman, and politician who has represented Tennessee's 1st congressional district since January 3, 2021. Her district covers the Tri-Cities area of northeastern Tennessee. Before entering Congress, Harshbarger worked as a pharmacist and businesswoman. In the House, her legislative record includes sponsoring H.R.5526, the Seniors' Access to Critical Medications Act of 2024, a bill addressing medication access for older Americans, and H.R.3186, the Universal Savings Account Act of 2025, a bill related to tax-advantaged savings. On appropriations, Harshbarger voted against multiple continuing resolutions and omnibus spending packages, including H.R.5860, H.R.6363, H.R.2872, H.R.7463, H.R.2882, and H.R.10545. She also voted against the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2024 (H.R.2670) and the Social Security Fairness Act of 2023 (H.R.82), both of which became law. Across this period, her votes against enacted legislation were cast in opposition to the majority of her party on each occasion.
