Who they are, where they came from

Eugene Vindman represents Virginia's 7th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives, having taken office on January 3, 2025. A member of the Democratic Party, Vindman is a lawyer and retired U.S. Army officer. He previously served as a deputy legal advisor for the United States National Security Council until he was reassigned on February 7, 2020. In the 119th Congress, he has sponsored H.R.5415, the Nitazene Control Act of 2025, a bill addressing the scheduling and control of nitazene substances.
