Who they are, where they came from

Greg Casar represents Texas's 35th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives, a seat he has held since January 3, 2023. Before his election to Congress, Casar served on the Austin City Council representing District 4 from 2015 to 2022, having first been elected to that seat in 2014 and reelected in 2016 and 2020. He was elected to Congress in 2022. In the 118th Congress, Casar sponsored H.R.7728, the Connect the Grid Act, a bill addressing electricity grid interconnection, and voted against H.R.2670, the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2024, on final passage.
