Who they are, where they came from

Jake Auchincloss represents Massachusetts's 4th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives, where he has served since January 3, 2021. A member of the Democratic Party, he is also a Marine Corps officer and businessman. Before his election to Congress, he served on the Newton City Council from 2015 to 2021. In the House, his sponsored legislation has addressed pharmacy benefit manager regulation (HR.9096), transit commuter benefits (HR.409), and U.S. Mint authority (HR.4438). He voted against final passage of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2024 (HR.2670) and against multiple continuing appropriations measures (HR.2872, HR.6363, HR.7463), in each case voting against the majority of his party.
