Comer has spent time focused on a few core fights. Each is tied to bills actually introduced or votes actually cast.
01
Supports redefining joint-employer liability standardsComer sponsored the Save Local Business Act in multiple congresses (HR.2826, HR.4366), which would establish a narrower standard for determining joint-employer status under the National Labor Relations Act and the Fair Labor Standards Act, limiting when businesses can be held jointly liable for the employment practices of contractors or franchisees.
02
Supports federal employee in-person work requirementsComer sponsored the SHOW UP Act of 2025 (HR.473), which would require federal executive branch agencies to reinstate in-person work requirements to levels that were in place prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, directing agencies to end or reduce remote work arrangements for federal employees.
03
Supports congressional oversight of executive branch officialsComer sponsored H.Res.1293, a resolution that passed the House recommending that the House of Representatives find the U.S. Attorney General in contempt of Congress, reflecting the use of oversight and accountability mechanisms against executive branch officials.
