Who they are, where they came from

J.D. Vance serves as the 50th Vice President of the United States, having taken office on January 20, 2025. Before assuming the vice presidency, Vance represented Ohio in the United States Senate from 2023 to 2025. He is also known as the author of a widely read memoir published before his entry into elected office. During his tenure in the Senate, Vance introduced Amendment SA 1210, which was agreed to in the Senate by a yea-nay vote of 59 to 38 (SAMDT.1210).
