Who they are, where they came from

Jared Moskowitz represents Florida's 23rd congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives, a seat he has held since January 2023. Before entering Congress, he served on the Broward County Commission from 2022 to 2023 and as director of the Florida Division of Emergency Management from 2019 to 2021. Earlier in his career, he represented the Coral Springs-Parkland area in the Florida House of Representatives from 2012 to 2019. His legislative work in Congress has included sponsoring bills related to disaster relief funding (H.R.8716), FEMA's organizational structure (H.R.2308), natural disaster risk financing (H.R.6274), and firearm manufacturing regulations (H.R.4143), as well as voting in favor of the Building Chips in America Act (S.2228).
