Who they are, where they came from

Jasmine Crockett represents Texas's 30th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives, a seat she has held since January 3, 2023. Before her election to Congress, she served in the Texas House of Representatives, where she represented the 100th district from 2021 to 2023. In Congress, she has sponsored legislation spanning reproductive health access (H.R.2497), voting rights (H.R.4987), mental health awareness (H.HRES.619), community safety notification systems (H.R.1561), drug testing supply access (H.R.1562), affordable housing (H.R.1782), and employment tax incentives (H.R.1914). She also successfully advanced an amendment in the 118th Congress (HAMDT.1180), which was agreed to by voice vote.
