Jon Husted has served as the junior United States Senator from Ohio since January 21, 2025, representing the Republican Party. Before entering the Senate, Husted served as the 66th Lieutenant Governor of Ohio from 2019 to 2025. Prior to that, he served as the 50th Ohio Secretary of State from 2011 to 2019. Born August 25, 1967, Husted built his political career across multiple statewide offices in Ohio before his appointment to the Senate seat.
