Who they are, where they came from
Josh Gottheimer represents New Jersey's 5th congressional district, a seat he has held since January 2017. The district spans the northern border of the state, running from the densely populated metropolitan suburbs of Bergen County northwest through exurban and rural areas of northern Passaic and Sussex Counties. Gottheimer is an attorney, writer, and public policy adviser by background.
