Juan Carlos Vargas is a U.S. Representative serving California's 52nd Congressional District, a seat he has held since January 3, 2013. His district covers the southernmost portions of San Diego County. In Congress, Vargas has sponsored legislation addressing credit union governance (H.R.582, H.R.975), water quality along the border region (H.R.4357), and has introduced a resolution honoring the life and legacy of a human rights activist (H.Res.561).
