Who they are, where they came from

Julie Fedorchak represents North Dakota's at-large congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives, having taken office on January 3, 2025. She is the first woman elected to the House from North Dakota. Before her election to Congress, Fedorchak served on the North Dakota Public Service Commission from 2012 to 2025, following an appointment by Governor Jack Dalrymple. In the 119th Congress, she sponsored H.J.Res.105, a joint resolution providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5 of the United States Code, which was enacted into law.
