Keith E. Sonderling serves as Secretary of Labor, having been confirmed and sworn in on April 20, 2026, during President Donald Trump's second term. He previously served as Deputy Secretary of Labor beginning in 2025 and as Acting Director of the Institute of Museum and Library Services. From 2020 to 2024, Sonderling served as a commissioner of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. From 2017 to 2020, he held the roles of deputy and acting administrator of the Wage and Hour Division of the U.S. Department of Labor. Before his government career, he was a shareholder at the law firm Gunster, Yoakley & Stewart in West Palm Beach, Florida.
