Who they are, where they came from

Kelly Morrison has served as the U.S. Representative for Minnesota's 3rd congressional district since January 3, 2025. A physician by training, she previously served in the Minnesota Senate representing District 45 from 2023 to 2024, and in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2019 to 2023. Her state legislative district covered the western Twin Cities metropolitan area, including Minnetonka, Mound, Minnetrista, and Orono in Hennepin County. She is a member of the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party.
