Who they are, where they came from

Madeleine Dean Cunnane is a lawyer and politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Pennsylvania's 4th congressional district, a position she has held since January 2019. The district encompasses nearly all of Montgomery County, a suburban county north of Philadelphia, along with a northeastern portion of Berks County. Before her election to Congress, Dean served as a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania General Assembly, representing the 153rd district in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. In the 119th Congress, her sponsored legislation has concentrated on firearms regulation and environmental accountability, including multiple bills referred to committee addressing gun sales, background checks, undetectable firearms, and PFAS chemical liability.
