Who they are, where they came from

Mike Haridopolos represents Florida's 8th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives, having taken office on January 3, 2025. Before his election to Congress, Haridopolos served in the Florida Senate from 2003 to 2012, including as Senate president from 2010 to 2012. Prior to his time in the state senate, he served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2000 to 2003. He has also worked as a consultant and educator. In the 119th Congress, he sponsored H.R.4091, the LEDGER Act, which advanced out of committee and attracted between 50 and 99 cosponsors.
