Who they are, where they came from

Pat Harrigan represents North Carolina's 10th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives, having taken office on January 3, 2025. Before entering elected office, Harrigan served as an Army Special Forces officer and worked as an engineer. He is a member of the Republican Party. In his first term, Harrigan voted against final passage of the Salem Maritime National Historical Park Redesignation and Boundary Study Act (HR.2215) and against the Congressional Award Program Reauthorization Act (S.284), both of which became law. In each case, his vote differed from the majority of his party.
