Who they are, where they came from

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. serves as the 26th United States Secretary of Health and Human Services, a position he has held since February 13, 2025. In this role he leads the federal department responsible for public health, human services programs, and related regulatory agencies. Kennedy is a member of the Kennedy family — a son of Senator and U.S. Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy and a nephew of President John F. Kennedy and Senator Ted Kennedy. Before entering the cabinet, he worked as an environmental lawyer and author, and became widely known as a prominent critic of vaccine policy. He sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 2023 before running as an independent candidate in the 2024 presidential election, ultimately withdrawing from that race.
