Who they are, where they came from

Robert Menendez represents New Jersey's 8th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives, having taken office on January 3, 2023. He is a lawyer and a member of the Democratic Party. He is distinct from the former U.S. Senator Robert Menendez, who represented New Jersey in the Senate from 2006 until his resignation in 2024 following a federal corruption conviction.
