Zinke has spent time focused on a few core fights. Each is tied to bills actually introduced or votes actually cast.
01
Federal public lands should transfer to non-federal controlZinke sponsored H.R.718, the Public Lands in Public Hands Act, which would transfer federally held public lands. The bill has been reintroduced and attracted 17 cosponsors. This represents a recurring legislative priority, as the bill's reintroduced status indicates it was also introduced in a prior Congress.
02
Supports wildlife movement corridor partnershipsZinke sponsored H.R.717, the Wildlife Movement Through Partnerships Act of 2025, a reintroduced bill that addresses wildlife corridor connectivity through partnership-based approaches. The bill was referred to committee with 8 cosponsors, reflecting ongoing interest in wildlife management policy in the Montana congressional context.
03
Voted against multiple continuing appropriations measuresZinke voted against H.R.6363 (Further Continuing Appropriations and Other Extensions Act, 2024) and H.R.5860 (Continuing Appropriations Act, 2024 and Other Extensions Act), both of which became law.
