01 · Background

Who they are, where they came from

Suzanne Marie Lee has served as the U.S. Representative for Nevada's 3rd congressional district since January 3, 2019, representing southern Las Vegas and much of unincorporated Clark County as a member of the Democratic Party. Among her enacted legislation, she sponsored the AACE Act (HR.5443), which became law. Her sponsorship record includes repeated reintroductions of bills addressing veterans' health and benefits, including the Keep Our PACT Act (HR.2715, HR.869), the VA Zero Suicide Demonstration Project Act of 2025 (HR.6454), and the Hire Student Veterans Act (HR.6404). She has also sponsored legislation focused on education and workforce development, including the Military and Educational Data Integration Act (HR.1573), the PATHS to Tutor Act of 2025 (HR.6532), and the Cyber Ready Workforce Act (HR.8110). Additional sponsored bills address healthcare access through the TREAT Youth Act (HR.3689) and the Physicians for Underserved Areas Act (HR.870), water infrastructure through the Help Hoover Dam Act (HR.3158), energy through the SHINE Act of 2026 (HR.6981), and small business support through the Small Business Child Care Investment Act (HR.7109). On floor votes, she voted in favor of the Building Chips in America Act of 2023 (S.2228), a measure that became law, and voted in favor of HJRES.27. Amendments she introduced—HAMDT.92, HAMDT.212, and HAMDT.213—were each agreed to during the 118th Congress.
