Vicente Gonzalez Jr. is a lawyer and Democratic member of the U.S. House of Representatives serving Texas's 34th congressional district, a South Texas district extending along the Gulf Coast from Brownsville to Corpus Christi. He has held federal office since January 2023 in the 34th district, and previously represented Texas's 15th congressional district from 2017 to 2023. His legislative record includes sponsored measures addressing postal infrastructure, small business lending for veterans, and domestic semiconductor manufacturing, as well as votes on border security and election integrity legislation.
