Who they are, where they came from

Vince Fong represents California's 20th congressional district, a seat he has held since June 2024. He is a member of the Republican Party. Before his election to Congress, Fong represented California's 32nd State Assembly district, which encompasses parts of the Central Valley, having first won that seat in 2016. Prior to his time in the State Assembly, he served as district director to then-Minority Leader and Congressman Kevin McCarthy. In the 119th Congress, Fong sponsored H.R.5351, the NSF AI Education Act of 2025, a bill referred to committee that was reintroduced from a prior Congress.
